STUDIO POLICIES:
Encore Dance Studio provides a beautiful and safe facility for our students to learn and grow. The following policies help students learn respect & courtesy and keep our studio in excellent condition:
1. No food or drinks in classrooms, halls etc. No gum or candy. No Cell Phones.
2. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes of the end of class. Students are never left alone. Please be punctual.
3. Students are expected to pick up after themselves, keep all personal items in bags and display respect and courtesy to all studio property, fellow students, and staff. Put names on everything!
4. Students are not to leave the studio for any reason once parents have dropped them off for class. If you want/need your students to leave, you must pick them up and take them. This is for the safety of your children. Please review this with them.
5. Dancers and parents agree to act in a courteous and polite manner to all teachers, fellow students, and parents. Disrespectful behavior is never appropriate.
6. Every dancer will have a minimum of 2 performing costumes. Costumes cannot be given to the dancer until they have been paid in full. Dancers will be responsible for full payment of costumes, after they have been ordered, regardless of attendance status.
7. Calendars are posted each month on the Studio website- encoredance.blogspot.com to inform you of exactly what is happening in the dance program. If you do not have internet access, you may pick up a calendar or check the bulletin board. Failure to attend classes and rehearsals my result in the dancer being spaced out of the routines.
8. Attendance is critical to the success of our company. Absenteeism must be kept to a minimum and all classes missed must be made up within one month. Dancers must let their teachers know when they will be missing class. Be advised that timing is important and dancers missing class before a performance or competition may be space out of the number.
9. Tuition and fees must be paid on time or a $15 late fee will be applied. Return check fee is $25. Please have dancer’s name and what the payment is for with each payment. If paying in cash please put in a sealed envelope. All payments must be placed in the payment box. Please state in writing what each payment should cover when it is made. Trial Classes: If you wish to try out classes before you register for them you can pay the individual class fee of $10 for an hour class or $15 for an hour and a half. This must be done before the class begins.
10. Class Withdrawal/Class transfers: In the event that you need to drop from a class a withdrawal form must be filled out and turned into Miss Julia by the 25th of the current month you are in. Any withdrawals taking place in the month you are in will still require full tuition payment for that month. Verbal Withdrawals through an instructor or an Encore employee are not accepted. Forms are available through Miss Julia. No withdrawals are accepted after January 1st. This gives the class the appropriate time frame to prepare for the Spring Recital in May. You will be responsible to pay for the rest of the dance season if withdrawn after January 1st. Remember that if you withdraw you have taken another dancer’s opportunity and studio income and are therefore responsible for the remainder tuition.
